What I hear and see on the news about H1n1

I'm concerned about the media treatment of H1N1 (Swine Flu).

I realize the media has to be suppressed, to prevent stampedes at the local hospitals, clinics and grocers where the flu shots will be available in October.

However, to date there are no resources for current outbreaks other than your doc in a box or the hospital. And there have been deaths.

In the event the pandemic is planned to be treated like a disaster, then after a fashion it's likely too many people at once will become ill. Will this treatment be similar to the Hurricane Katrina debacle? Then deaths will be the norm; public outcry including media will be suppressed all the more. The global wellness at that point could be under the controlling influences of the drug companies, with no recourse.

My greatest concern is if there will be enough care and medicine available for those that contract H1N1, prior to the deadline of "October" and after the deadline when all the shots and Otc meds are dispensed. This is 2009, with global government spending over the top, the drug companies will be the deciding factor. Will the drug companies be humanitarian with our current economy trending toward whatever money-making methods available, creating a "Bottom Line" business world, focused on capital and liquidity, market share and profits?

I wonder...

I promise my herbal company will do it's part in business and ethics with our herbal formulas for flu and viral infections. We are small, and take care of our personal health which in turn cares for the business that creates your products for your wellness.

I guess I'm an idealist. I want global wellness.
